Israeli security advisor anticipates ongoing hostilities for approximately seven more months.
Tensions between Israel and the militant Islamic group Hamas in the Gaza Strip may continue through the end of the year, said Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi. Hanegbi spoke with state broadcaster Kan on Wednesday, stating that the fight could stretch on to reach the destruction of Hamas' power and military capacities. Following a victory, Hanegbi elaborated, Israel strives to see the return of all hostages, the eradication of any Iran-funded terrorist armies on its border, and the final removal of threats from Gaza.
Currently, dialogue on the post-war arrangement in the Gaza Strip is taking place among Israeli officials. Hanegbi explained, "We're trying to arrange what should ensue after this war, so that Palestinians are accountable for their own lives. We're responsible for Israel's security, but we don't want to administer Gaza."
In related news, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed the need for an Israeli plan for post-war Gaza. Blinken visited Moldova on Wednesday, expressing that "there needs to be a plan for the day after, or else, there won't be a day after. And we've got to start and act as quickly as possible."

The ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, as predicted by Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi, could potentially extend into the latter part of the year, making it the 'Gaza war' that lasts for several 'months'. Amidst these tensions, a Security consultant from Israel might be sought to provide strategic analysis and recommendations to maintain 'Israeli' security during this period.
