Is that indeed Adele?

During a month's stay, Adele has been spotted in Munich. Residents have noticed her during her strolls, yet her demeanor appeared to deviate from the norm.

- Is that indeed Adele?

Over the past weekend, folks in Munich's heart of the city were left speechless when it seemed like singer Adele, accompanied by her security guards, passed them by.

Countless TikTok clips with names such as "Bumped into Adele in Munich" or "Spotted Adele in Munich" popped up, displaying a woman in a black evening gown, strutting in heels, and her visage concealed somewhat by an extravagant, oversized hat. The resemblance to Adele is quite prominent.

Fervent Adele fans rapidly jumped into research mode upon the videos' appearance and concluded that the woman posing as the musician in Munich's busy stretch of sidewalk could not possibly be the real Adele. They pointed out that the artist would never make an appearance so "glammed up," and that usually, she's seen dressed down in sneakers, a tracksuit, and a cap.

Adele admirers had a theory

Additionally, the timing of Adele's city strolls appeared rather strange to social media investigators. The 36-year-old had announced at her final performance on stage that she would be jetting off home for a few days. From August 2 to 31, she will be playing ten concerts in Munich at an arena specifically constructed for her, which can accommodate around 75,000 people. Her last concert was last Friday, and her next one is August 23, providing her with a week off to spend with her loved ones.

The rumors spread that the fake Adele was actually German TV host Barbara Schöneberger, according to Adele's devoted fans. Newspaper "tz" reported that the entertainer was indeed concealed beneath the large brim, potentially filming a new episode for the ARD show "Verstehen Sie Spaß?"

Adele's fans were surprised and intrigued by the TikTok videos, believing the woman in Munich was an imposter due to her glamorous appearance and attire, which is unlike how the singer typically dresses. Despite the strong resemblance, they argued that Adele would never make such a public appearance looking so "glammed up."

Amidst the speculation, some Adele admirers suggested that the woman in the videos was German TV host Barbara Schöneberger, fueling the rumors even further.
