Amsterdam's International Airport - Individual perishes after becoming trapped in airplane engine during grounding

At Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, a person lost their life when they climbed into an airplane's engine on Wednesday. The plane was scheduled to fly to Billund, Denmark, and was getting ready for takeoff when someone was unintentionally drawn into the operating engine. KLM, a Dutch airline, reported this incident. They didn't disclose any additional details about the victim.

Investigation at Amsterdam Airport

The Dutch border police, who manage airport security at the Netherlands' largest airport, reported that passengers had been taken off the plane. They're currently investigating the incident.

According to local news outlets, the plane in question was a short-distance aircraft made by Brazillian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. It belongs to KLM's local branch named Cityhopper. An image shared by NOS broadcaster showed fire engines and ambulances near the plane by the departure hall.
