- In the skirmish of Raab, Laura Wontorra delivers updates from the boxing arena.
Entertainer Stefan Raab is set to go head-to-head with ex-boxing world champion Regina Halmich, with Laura Wontorra providing commentary from ringside. RTL has confirmed the announcement. The event is scheduled to air live from Düsseldorf on September 14, with RTL+ providing a live stream as well.
The Golden Circle will see numerous celebrities joining former world champions Dariusz Michalczewski and Firat Arslan. The event will be overseen by Elton, while Frank "Buschi" Buschmann will provide commentary. RTL hints at the unpredictability of the 14,000 fans in the arena and the millions watching at home.
Regina Halmich has been gearing up for this final fight, training rigorously for months. "I'm training multiple times a week, just like back then. I want to be the better boxer, and Stefan, of course, will be the better entertainer. He's chosen a challenging path for his comeback since there's no mercy in the ring. Although we like and respect each other, it's now man versus woman."
Stefan Raab (57, known for "TV total") has been out of the public eye since 2015, focusing on behind-the-scenes work. His last public appearance was in 2018, but it didn't make it to television. This exhibition match will mark his return to TV since then. Raab has faced Halmich (47) twice before, in 2001 and 2007, both times resulting in losses for him, including a broken nose. The original matches were broadcast on ProSieben. This upcoming exhibition match, titled "Der Clark Final Fight", will take place at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf.
After hearing about Stefan Raab's return to the ring, I became quite curious to see how his comeback would unfold. Despite their past losses, the unpredictability of the upcoming exhibition match between Regina Halmich and Stefan Raab has piqued my interest.
