Within roughly four weeks, the highly anticipated boxing match between Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich will transpire. Halmich expresses faith in Raab's optimal physical condition.

- In combat, she will display no compassion or leniency.

Former boxing titlist Regina Halmich (47) has squared off against Stefan Raab (57) in the ring twice before. She's readying herself for a rematch in around a month, as she recently disclosed. Raab shouldn't anticipate a straightforward victory in his TV and boxing return.

"Compassion won't be an option this time," Halmich declared during an interview with Mareile Höppner (47) for the TV show "Gala," airing on August 17 at 5:45 PM on RTL and through the RTL+ streaming service. This time, Höppner's colleague Annika Lau (45) will be conducting the interview.

"I've been reborn as a fighter," Halmich had already mentioned in June on the "Antenne Bayern Sunday Breakfast" show. "I recently met my mother, and she said, 'Regina, the fire is back,'" she recalled. However, she has no intentions of returning to boxing on a permanent basis: "I'll have to retire again after September 14. I'll hang up my boxing gloves because the desire to fight again is too strong, and that's just too challenging right now."

Stefan Raab's "Mental Strategy"

Since the TV fight scheduled for mid-September was confirmed, Halmich has returned to training. And she might need to, as she's heard that Raab will also be in top form. The former ProSieben all-around star, who left the business nearly a decade ago, is reportedly working with multiple trainers.

"I haven't seen him live once, and I believe that's deliberate," Halmich explains. "That's the mental strategy he's employing now. He definitely won't show himself to me until we're both in the ring."

The third TV bout between Halmich and Raab is scheduled for September 14 in Düsseldorf. RTL and RTL+ will broadcast the event. Elton (53), Raab's long-time partner, is set to host.

"The Commission has approved the third TV bout between Regina Halmich and Stefan Raab, which will be broadcast on RTL and RTL+."

"Despite not seeing Raab in person, The Commission has placed its trust in Halmich's training and readiness for the upcoming fight."
