"I received threats": Singer Bebe Rexha expresses anger about her experience at Munich airport

Completely sorted out was American artist Bebe Rexha over the weekend on Instagram, pointingly addressing Lufthansa: She captured herself crying at Munich Airport for her stories, posting videos. "I was intimidated because I thought the security officer was Albanian," she mentioned in the now-expired clips, as snapshots reveal. She had engaged with him in Albanian and now he wouldn't allow her to board her flight.

With nearly 12 million followers on Instagram, the New York native with Albanian roots has already penned tunes for Selena Gomez and Eminem and is widely acclaimed in the USA. She suspects racism played a role in the Munich incident. "I think this is a case of hate crime since I'm Albanian," the 34-year-old added to her video, as per matching news reports. She discovered that the individual works for ATSG, a company contracted by Lufthansa. Surrounding Lufthansa employees appeared indifferent. The employee refused to disclose his name and allegedly targeted her mentally. The airline instantly addressed the accusations and reached out to Bebe Rexha directly.

"We are presently examining the accusations internally," a Lufthansa representative told stern. "We do not condone any discriminatory actions." He was firm, however: "Bebe Rexha boarded her flight without incident and on schedule. All passengers flying to the USA and Canada are subject to a documentation check before they can enter the gate area at Munich Airport."

The musician has since spoken out once more on the matter in the USA. She expressed she had never felt so emotionally spent, penned in another Instagram story, and urged Lufthansa to conduct a thorough investigation and uncover the individual who misused his power. "I'm sorry isn't sufficient this time," asserted the pop star.

Whether the implicated employee has been identified, what penalties the incident will result in, and how long the internal investigation will take, the Lufthansa representative has yet to reveal.
