Lotto King Karl - HSV legend in bad luck - broken foot and Covid
A painful end to the party for HSV legend Lotto King Karl (56): The singer and presenter had a serious fall on his way home after the "Movie meets Media" event in Hamburg a few days ago and suffered a complicated injury.
As he announced on Facebook and his website, Lotto King Karl slipped on the slippery road and is now in hospital with a triple foot fracture. "Things are not going according to plan and to be honest, it's a very painful affair," it says. And that's not all the bad luck: on Friday, Lotto King Karl posted that he had now also fallen ill with coronavirus.
Bad luck for Lotto King Karl: First time corona, first time something broke
This means that the "Hamburg, meine Perle" singer has two negative health premieres: According to his own statement, it is his first fracture and his first Covid infection. He wrote about the viral infection on social media on Friday lunchtime: "The next series to be torn. I don't have to say how I feel right now, do I? I can't either..."
Lotto King Karl previouslytold Bild about his complicated fracture. According to the report, the right foot, the capsule and the lower tibia are affected. He is therefore still facing an operation. "It will take months before I'm fit again." He will have to perform his next concerts sitting down. "I have to keep my foot elevated all the time, it has to be above my heart."
Alternative dates already found
The former HSV stadium announcer is now working on finding alternative dates for his planned concerts. The concert that was planned for today, 08.12. in Lübeck, will therefore be postponed to 06.04.2024. A concert that was planned for 15.12. in Hanover will now take place on 16.02.2024. However, it will be seated, "because I won't be able to stand much yet", Lotto announced on his website.
