Hollywood - How Jolie and Berry became friends
Oscar winner Halle Berry (57, "Monster's Ball") says she has become friends with actress Angelina Jolie (48, "Crazy") during conversations about broken relationships. "We had a bumpy start, and I think that will serve us well in our time together on screen," Berry told the industry magazine "Variety" about working with Jolie on the action film "Maude v Maude".
"We talked a lot about divorces and exes," Berry continued. "We became friends, let's put it that way." She described Jolie, who also worked behind the camera as a producer on their first film together, "Maude v Maude", as impressive.
The two Hollywood actresses have been in court for the past decade over disputes with their ex-partners. Berry only reached an agreement in her divorce dispute with the father of her now ten-year-old son in August, almost eight years after her marriage ended. Jolie, on the other hand, has been involved in a bitter custody battle with the father of their six children since her separation from Hollywood star Brad Pitt in 2016.
