Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson (47) Hospitalized with Burns
It seems like musician Sid Wilson, partner of Kelly Osbourne (39) and Slipknot's DJ, ended up in the hospital due to burns. Reports suggest that the incident happened while Wilson was tending to a bonfire on the farm he shares with Osbourne and their son Sidney (2). The blaze apparently went out of control, leading to Wilson's injuries, as hinted at in Instagram posts shared by Wilson and Osbourne themselves.
Wilson Suffers Severe Burns
Since early Saturday (August 24), Wilson has been posting regular updates on his Instagram, showcasing his journey in the hospital. The videos reveal that Wilson has sustained second-degree burns on his face and arms, causing his skin to turn a bright red, making his lips appear swollen, and blisters to appear.
Kelly Osbourne also paid a visit to Wilson in the hospital and shared her thoughts via an Instagram story. She explained, "This is why you should stay away from burning piles," shaking her head in disbelief. She continued, "He set himself on fire and everything exploded."
Wilson's Commitment to Tour Despite Injuries
Despite the severe injuries, Wilson remains unwavering in his ambitions, as evident in his Instagram posts. He vowed to recover and join the band on their upcoming tour, stating, "I'm going to get better, no matter what. We'll see you all on tour."
Slipknot also confirmed Wilson's participation in their upcoming performances, stating in an Instagram post, "Our fellow member Sid Wilson had an accident today and suffered burns. He's recuperating at home with his family and will still be with us on stage next weekend at Rocklahoma. We thank everyone for their well-wishes and look forward to seeing them soon."
Slipknot is slated to perform at the Rocklahoma festival in Oklahoma, taking place from September 1-3.
