Hospitalized due to a brain bleed, is Horst Janson.
A few weeks back, Horst Janson experienced a stroke, and now according to the "Bild" newspaper, the renowned TV star is back in a Munich clinic after a fall down the stairs resulted in a brain hemorrhage.
Apparently, the 88-year-old actor tumbled down the stairs in his Grünwald, Munich area residence at the beginning of August. Along with fracturing his wrist, he suffered a brain hemorrhage that required immediate medical attention.
As per the report, Janson is currently showing signs of improvement but is still far from optimal health. His long-time spouse, Helgardt Hella Ruthardt, has been by his side throughout this ordeal. The couple shares two grown-up daughters.
Recent health concerns
Janson's health had been a topic of discussion earlier in June as well. In an interview with "Freizeit Revue" mag, Ruthardt shared that her husband had endured a stroke. She recalled her husband suddenly losing his ability to speak once he returned home.
She promptly contacted emergency services, and the 88-year-old was hooked up to life-support systems in the hospital. In the interview, Ruthardt expressed her relief, claiming that had his health not been so stable, the situation could have been much more dire.
At the ripe age of 88, Janson, a veteran actor in the German film industry with notable roles in series like "Der Bastian" and "Salto Mortale," and who left a mark on young audiences as "Horst" in the German "Sesame Street," continues to be an active performer. However, his scheduled appearance at the Bad Hersfeld festival in July was cancelled due to the stroke.
Given the health issues Horst Janson has been facing, it's crucial that his healthcare team remains vigilant about his health and safety. His wife, Helgardt Hella Ruthardt, has been advocating for his needs, ensuring that appropriate health and safety measures are in place.
