- Honorary Ink Dedicated to Son Amelio (new tattoo)
Pop singer and "DSDS" judge Pietro Lombardi (32) and his partner Laura Maria Rypa (28) have welcomed another bundle of joy. They shared the news of their newborn son, Amelio Elija, on Instagram on a Friday. Accompanying a hospital photo, they shared their excitement, "We're elated to announce the arrival of our healthy baby boy Amelio. Our hearts are overflowing with love and we're relishing these moments and this precious time together. Witnessing our family expand is truly beautiful." Following Amelio's arrival, Pietro has continued a tradition.
A timeless reminder
He shared in an Instagram story, "Same slot for all," referring to a video of a new piece of ink on his skin. The clip shows his latest tattoo with the words "Amelio" and his birthdate. He captioned it, "Three spots taken - Alessio, Leano, now Amelio. Timeless," he added in the post. Pietro had previously tattooed his sons Alessio, born from his marriage to Sarah Engels (31) on June 19, 2015, and son Leano, born on January 8, 2023, on his arm as a lasting tribute. Laura Maria Rypa showed her support with a heart emoji in the comments.
In September 2020, Pietro inked another emotional tattoo in honor of Alessio. It's an image of a teddy bear, half-covered and donning a chain and cross. Above it, it reads, "In your chest beats a warrior's heart." This symbolizes Alessio's battle with heart problems shortly after birth. "The teddy bear was Alessio's guardian angel throughout his surgeries," Pietro explained in an Instagram post.
"Now, those challenging days are in our past, and I believe Alessio and I made a formidable team," Pietro mused, writing from the perspective of the tattoo on his arm. The phrase, "In your chest beats a warrior's heart," comes from Pietro's song "Warrior's Heart," which he'd previously dedicated to Alessio.
After welcoming their newborn son Amelio, Pietro Lombardi added a new tattoo to honor him, with the words "Amelio" and his birthdate etched onto his skin. Laura Maria Rypa showed her support with a heart emoji in the comments, acknowledging Pietro's tradition of tattooing his sons' names and birthdates.
