Hollywood stars appear at the Olympics

The second day of the Paris Olympic Games attracted a number of stars on Sunday, amongst them Tom Cruise and Jessica Chastain.

The Olympic Games in Paris continue to attract big names. After the star-studded opening ceremony on the previous Friday (26th July), some stars plan to support the athletes from the tribunes of the competitions. Hollywood star Tom Cruise (62) cheered on "Team USA" already on Saturday and showed his excitement for the silver medal of the freestyle relay team of US swimmers. On Sunday, it went on for him to gymnastics.

Accompanied by David Zaslav (64), CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, the actor watched the qualification of US gymnasts with Simone Biles (27) in the Bercy Arena. Other celebrities came with familial support: Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (47) brought her two children, singer Ariana Grande (31) sat next to brother Frankie Grande (41) and "Wicked" co-star Cynthia Erivo (37). While Grande wore an elegant dress with a stylish statement sun hat in white, Chastain showed her support for "Team USA" fashionably with a pullover featuring the US flag and the Olympic rings.

By the way, "Vogue" editor-in-chief Anna Wintour (74) also graced the occasion and attended the qualification in a white dress with a rose flower pattern. Next to her sat director Baz Luhrmann (61). Among other celebrities were snowboarder Shaun White (37) and his partner, actress Nina Dobrev (35), as well as Chrissy Teigen (38) and her husband John Legend (45). Both couples had already attended the opening ceremony on Friday.

In the past few days, the athletes also received royal support. For example, the Dutch royals, King Willem-Alexander (57) with his wife Maxima (53) and two of their daughters, cheered on the men's hockey team of their country. Princesses Leonor (18) and Sofia of Spain (17) visited tennis and saw the Spanish victory of Rafael Nadal (38) and Carlos Alcaraz (21).

  6. Alongside the stars and celebrities gracing the events of the Olympic Games, the Spaniards also contributed to the star-studded event, as Princesses Leonor and Sofia of Spain watched their country's tennis players, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, in action.
