Michelle and Eric Philippi - Hit couple sing about their unequal love

Pop singer Michelle (51) has recorded a duet with her partner Eric Philippi (26): The single "Falsch Dich zu lieben" was released today, Friday, December 1, 2023.

According to a press release, the autobiographical ballad tells the story of a couple with a big age difference. The first verse reads: "People stare after them openly / They're an attractive couple / That he's younger than her - that's a scandal here / Some people can't handle it". The rest of the song emphasizes love against all odds: "If it's wrong to love you / Nothing's right in the world / Everybody knows that only love counts".

In April 2023, Michelle and Eric Philippi announced their relationship on a show hosted by Florian Silbereisen (42). The age difference of 25 years had repeatedly caused negative comments in public. Michelle was in a relationship with musician Matthias Reim (66) from 1999 to 2001 and the couple have a child together. Before that, the singer was married to pop singer Albert Oberloher (61). The two also have a child together.

"Falsch Dich zu lieben": TV premiere with Florian Silbereisen

Michelle and Philippi are now back on stage with Silbereisen: according to a press release, the love duet will celebrate its TV premiere on December 2 in the ARD show "Adventsfest der 100.000 Lichter".

Michelle recently announced the end of her career. In an interview with the "Bild" newspaper in October, she said that she no longer wanted to stay "in this poisoned environment". The musical confirmation of these plans followed shortly afterwards with the ballad "Das war's für mich".

As Michelle also told "Bild", she is planning a final album - "my life's work" - which will contain exclusively personal songs. Both her farewell song and her love duet are harbingers of this "farewell album", as it is called in a press release. The pop star would also like to go on a farewell tour with it.
