Weston Coppola Cage (33), son of US actor Nicolas Cage (60), was reportedly arrested in Los Angeles. According to "Page Six" and "The Sun", this was confirmed by the local police. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told "The Sun": "I can confirm that Weston Cage Coppola was arrested today for assault with a deadly weapon."

The arrest reportedly stems from an incident that occurred in April. "The Sun" reported that there is a connection to a psychological crisis that the actor experienced a few weeks prior, during which he allegedly became physical with his mother Christina Fulton (57).

Alleged altercation with his mother?

At the time, images of the actress emerged showing her with a blue eye and facial injuries. "TMZ" reported that Weston was now on the "radar of the LAPD." In early May, Fulton released a statement to "People"-Magazine which was quoted as saying: "On Sunday, April 28, several of Weston's closest friends reached out to me for help because they were concerned about him being in a psychological crisis." Further, she explained: "Upon my arrival, I was greeted by my son, who was obviously in a mental breakdown, making for a harrowing experience." Fulton emphasized that she and her son had no argument prior to the incident.

An attorney for the 57-year-old told "Page Six", his client had fully cooperated with the investigation. He also stated: "This is a criminal matter, and my client is merely a victim and witness."

Weston Coppola Cage released on $150,000 bond

Meanwhile, Weston has been released on a $150,000 bond. According to "The Sun", this was paid by Nicolas Cage.

The 33-year-old is the eldest child of the Hollywood stars. Cage has another son, Kal-El Cage (18). In September 2022, his daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage was born.
