Robbie Williams, aged 50, took part in the charity event Soccer Aid for the seventh time on Sunday. This event has been held since 2006, with the participants raising funds for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) each time. This year's game at London's Stamford Bridge raised £15 million (€17.7 million) for UNICEF, as per the event organizers. They also revealed on their website that a total of £100 million (€118 million) has been collected since the event's inception.
Distinguished personalities, including former professional footballers and celebrities, joined forces to form the "England" and "World XI" teams. The "England" team had players like Theo Walcott, Jermain Defoe, Joe Cole, Jill Scott, and Jack Wilshere, and British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn as a celebrity. The "World XI" team consisted of Eden Hazard, Patrice Evra, and Michael Essien along with the former Jamaican sprint champion, Usain Bolt (37).
Robbie Williams had his family members supporting him in the stands. His wife, Ayda Field (45), their children, Theo (11) and Coco (5), showed their support. While welcoming the teams onto the field before the match, Robbie Williams wore a blue suit and thick black glasses, waving affectionately to his family members all sporting the same green baseball jacket. His other two children, Charlie (9) and Beau (16 months), were absent.
