Jamie Foxx - His daughter announces engagement
It's been a tough year for Jamie Foxx (56): He fell seriously ill, was hospitalized for an extended period in April and later said that he almost died. But now 2023 ends with good news for the actor: his eldest daughter Corinne (29) has got engaged to her boyfriend Joe Hooten.

Like her famous father, Corinne Foxx works in the acting industry. She comes from his relationship with Connie Kline (54). After worrying about Jamie Foxx falling ill, she can now shine again. She announced the engagement news in an Instagram post. "From the first time I saw you, I knew you were mine forever," the actress wrote alongside several black and white photos of the couple, in which her large engagement ring can be seen. In the photos, the couple are smiling and hugging on the deck of a boat after the proposal.
Congratulations from celebrities
A number of celebrities also responded to the engagement post on December 17. Model Ashley Graham (36), for example, let it be known that she was "very excited" for the two of them. Actress Kerry Washington (46) also left congratulations.
The couple are said to have met at the University of Southern California back in 2018, as reported by Page Six. Corinne Foxx gave a first public insight into her relationship with Hooten in September 2019 when she shared a post on Instagram in which the couple can be seen in a horse stable. "Spent the weekend with some stallions," she commented at the time. In the years that followed, she would occasionally share a few snapshots with her beloved. Hooten is an award-winning writer, director and television executive who currently works for John Wells Productions.
