Scarlett Johansson - Her husband only watches her movies drunk
Shocking revelation for Scarlett Johansson (39) live on US television: Her husband Colin Jost (41) reveals that he can only stand her movies when he's drunk. Fortunately, this confession is not really meant seriously. It was a gag in the cult comedy show "Saturday Night Life", of which Jost is a member.
This is how the joke came about: Colin Jost leads the news segment of "Saturday Night Live" together with his colleague Michael Che (40). There is a running gag. The two write down jokes for each other, which the other then has to read and recite during the live show. This weekend was no exception.
"So I can finally enjoy my wife's little art films"
"In New York State, it's now legal to serve alcohol in movie theaters," the text begins. "And so I can finally enjoy my wife 's little art films," it continues. The gag obviously refers to Scarlett Johansson's penchant for slipping in sophisticated but less acclaimed works alongside her blockbusters such as "Black Widow". Examples include "Under the Skin" (2013) and "Marriage Story" (2019). "Just kidding, honey. I love all your movies," explained Colin Jost after he had to read out the sentence.
Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson have been a couple since 2017. However, they first met on"Saturday Night Live" in 2006. When the actress first hosted the show as a guest presenter, Jost was there in his first year as a writer.
The couple married in 2020 and their son Cosmo was born in August 2021. Johansson also has a daughter from her first marriage to Romain Dauriac (41).

Scarlett Johansson's husband, Colin Jost, jokingly mentioned that he enjoys watching her less popular movies only when he's under the influence of alcohol during a segment on "Saturday Night Live." The joke referenced Johansson's interest in both mainstream films like "Black Widow" and lesser-known artistic works like "Under the Skin" and "Marriage Story."
Johansson first met Jost on "Saturday Night Live" when she hosted the show in 2006, and they started dating three years later. The couple married in 2020 and has a son together, while Johansson also has a daughter from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac.
Before their union, Jost mentioned in a comedic manner that he could now enjoy her "little art films" now that alcohol could be served in movie theaters in New York State.
The Black Widow, a formidable character played by Scarlett Johansson, might not share her husband's alcohol-induced appreciation for her arthouse films.
