Sonya Kraus - Her hair has grown back
In the spring of 2022, moderator Sonya Kraus (51) publicly announced that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2021. Following this, she underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy. The result: Kraus suffered from hair loss and lost her famous blonde pixie cut. The pixie-haired woman then turned to wigs. Now, more than two and a half years after the initial diagnosis and 18 months after completing chemotherapy, the moderator is not only cancer-free, but her hair has also grown back.
Sonya Kraus switches between natural hair and wigs
Kraus already showed off her new shoulder-length hair several times on Instagram. She cannot completely do without wigs, however: "The 'Fiffis', as I call my wigs, 'stay in my life'", she recently said in an Instagram Story. "They're so uncomplicated and easily put on, when my own hair looks like a mess."
Sonya Kraus has shared her enthusiasm for wigs in the past few months on Instagram. She has become a real collector. "Bad Hair Day? I don't have one anymore. Photo-ready in five minutes." She advised her followers and followers: "Just have some courage and don't let your head hang low."
However, the moderator no longer misses her own hair. "I loved my wigs, but it's practical to go out with your own hair again", she explained in an interview with RTL.
The moderator now apparently switches openly between natural hair and wigs. On her 51st birthday, which she celebrated on June 22, she wore a long-haired wig "for the occasion", as Kraus showed on Instagram.
Sonya Kraus's cancer diagnosis in 2021 led to her undergoing chemotherapy, resulting in hair loss and the need for a wig. Despite her growing natural hair, Kraus continues to use her wigs, affectionately calling them 'Fiffis'. She shared her positive experience with wigs on Instagram, even recommending them to her followers. On her birthday, Kraus celebrated with a long-haired wig, demonstrating her open switch between natural hair and wigs.
