TV star Helena Fürst decides against having an operation to shrink her brain tumor. Instead, she opted for individual therapy - with success: the treatment seems to be working.
Reality TV actress Helena Fürst has given her fans some good news. "The latest MRI confirms it, my tumor is shrinking!" wrote the 49-year-old in a health update on Facebook. According to Fürst, further examinations are still necessary. "But I'm well on the way to a complete recovery." The former jungle camper also shared an old photo of herself smiling at the camera. Fürst was diagnosed with a benign meningioma during a routine MRI in 2020 and made the brain tumor public in November.
Since the diagnosis, Fürst has struggled with a number of health problems. The examination was carried out during her planned participation in the TV format "Promiboxen", she explained in an interview with ntv.de. Shortly after the diagnosis, she suffered from "lightning pains" in the right side of her body and a ringing in her ears. A medical examination then revealed that the tumor had spread to the ear canal.
The doctors advised the reality TV actress to undergo surgery to reduce the size of the tumor, followed by individual radiotherapy of the remaining tumor, but Fürst decided against surgery due to the risks involved. No doctor was able to assure her "that he would be able to get even a part of the tumor out of my head undamaged". Thanks to individual therapy, she quickly got better and was confident that she had been "lucky".
Helena Fürst became famous with her show "Helena Fürst - Lawyer for the Poor" and caused controversy with various reality TV appearances. In 2016 she polarized in the jungle camp, in 2017 she moved into the "Sommerhaus der Stars". In 2022, she took part in "Das große Promi-Büßen", but had to leave the show early.
