The history of the Fürstenbergs reaches back approximately 1000 years. The chief of the oldest German noble family has passed away after a long illness. Heinrich Fürst zu Fürstenberg was 73 years old.

Heinrich Fürst zu Fürstenberg is deceased. The German noble and head of the House of Fürstenberg passed away early in the morning on July 11, "according to an official statement from the House of Fürstenberg." He was 73 years old.

The deceased belonged to one of the oldest German noble families with a 1000-year history. He was born on July 17, 1950, at Schloss Heiligenberg as the third child of Joachim Egon Fürst zu Fürstenberg. In 1976, he married Maximiliane Prinzessin zu Windisch-Graetz, who was known as Massimiliana Prinzessin zu Fürstenberg thereafter. After the death of his father, Erbprinz Heinrich succeeded to the headship of the House of Fürstenberg in the year 2002.

"Under his leadership, the House of Fürstenberg flourished economically and gained further significance in its charitable, cultural, and social engagement," the family's statement reads. Christian Fürst zu Fürstenberg, the deceased's son, has also issued a moving statement. "His death is a great loss for the family, friends, and all those who had the fortune to know and work with him. His unique personality, his human greatness, and his love for the family will remain alive in our memories," he writes.

Christian Fürst zu Fürstenberg now succeeds his father as head of the House of Fürstenberg. Since 2022, he has been managing the affairs of "Haus Fürstenberg Holding," which still ranks among the largest forest owners in Germany today.

The family has announced various death cases this year, including that of Heinrich Fürst zu Fürstenberg. Despite his departure from entertainment, his legacy in the German noble family's history of entertainment events will continue to resonate.

Despite his tragic death, Heinrich Fürst zu Fürstenberg leaves behind a significant number of death cases within the family archives, showcasing the dynasty's rich history.
