Heino only wants Hannelore back
Heino is going through a difficult time. After the death of his wife Hannelore, he already has to celebrate his 85th birthday without her. And now he has to celebrate his first Christmas without her for the first time in decades. He is only with her in his thoughts.
After 50 years together, singer Heino is about to celebrate his first Christmas without his beloved Hannelore. He seems brave when he reveals his plans for Christmas Eve in the magazine "Bunte". He is spending the festive season "with my manager in mind and thinking of my Hannelore", he explains.
The singer, who recently turned 85, adds: "On December 23, we'll go to Hannelore's cemetery. On Christmas Eve, we'll cut a Christmas tree. Then we'll decorate it together and sing Christmas carols." The meal will be turkey, homemade red cabbage and dumplings.
He hasn't had any wishes for a long time, says Heino. Hannelore has always read his every wish from his lips and fulfilled them. "But if I had one wish - then of course that Hannelore would be back. I hope she is sleeping in peace. And where she is now, she'll be waiting for me one day. That's my only wish," he explains, adding: "A part of me died with my Hannelore."
Married for 44 years
Hannelore Kramm died on November 8 at the age of 82 in her home in Kitzbühel. She was also buried in the Austrian town with her closest friends and family. The couple had been married for 44 years and were almost inseparable. However, the singer was unable to be with his beloved wife in her final hours. The news of her death reached Heino while he was recording a TV show in Berlin.
Hannelore's death was not made public until a week later. "Heino and all of us are in deep mourning," explained his manager at the time. He also explained why the death was only announced after a delay: "It was Heino's express wish to be able to say goodbye to his beloved wife in silence." Hannelore had suffered a so-called instantaneous death due to sudden cardiac arrest. Heino consoled himself with the fact that she did not have to suffer any pain.
The couple had met in 1972 at the Miss Austria competition in Kitzbühel, followed by their wedding in 1979. It was Heino's third marriage. Hannelore accompanied him to many appointments and appearances. They have no children together. However, Heino has a son from his first marriage. An illegitimate daughter, whom he had also brought into the marriage with Hannelore, took her own life in 2003.
