Weather Prognosis [:)] - Heavy rainfall is expected due to low pressure systems this weekend.

The German weather authorities issue a warning of intense rainfall and possible flooding this weekend. Rainfall and thunderstorms may occur on Thursday and Friday, but these are just a warm-up for what's to come. The meteorologist Adrian Leyser from the DWD in Offenbach forecasted that Tropical storm Orinoco will sweep through Central Europe, bringing heavy rain.

The possible implications of this storm are a cause for concern as specific regions might face the heaviest downpours. Leyser remarked, "The uncertain forecasts suggest that southern, eastern, and central regions may experience the highest rainfall. The models predict maximum rainfall in these areas."

The rainfall predictions have meteorologists expecting anywhere between 40 to 60 liters per square meter, but possibly more - up to 100 to 150 liters per square meter. This would be roughly equivalent to twice the average monthly rainfall for May in many regions within two days.

The expected rainfall levels could create hazardous conditions at some water courses with a risk of flooding. Leyser explained, "Torrents of water will enter streams and rivers, raising the water levels substantially."

The weather forecast for the next few days:

Wednesday, low rainfall is expected in the east and southeast regions, with sunny conditions in the south. For the rest of Germany, showers with the potential for thunderstorms in the west and northwest are in store. Temperatures will range from 18 to 24 degrees.

On Thursday, there is forecasted rainfall in the east and southeast regions, shifting westward during the day. Elsewhere, there will be intermittent rainy weather, with isolated thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. The highest temperatures will be between 17 and 22 degrees.

Come Friday, the south hopes for a continuous downpour. Elsewhere, there will be alternating cloud cover, occasional showers, and high chances of heavy rainfall. The highest temperatures will be between 18 and 24 degrees, falling to 15 degrees in persistent rain showers.

The weather prediction for the start of the following week:

Leyser stated that at the beginning of the next week, a slow-moving weakening weather system from the northwest will be noted. However, a prolonged period of summer-like, dry weather is still not in sight.

Adrian Leyser, a meteorologist from the DWD, has emphasized the potential for heavy rainfall and flooding, particularly in southern, eastern, and central regions. The forecast suggests that these areas might receive up to 150 liters of rain per square meter, which is double the average monthly rainfall for May within two days. This weather pattern has raised concerns about hazardous conditions and possible flooding at some water courses. The weekend weather forecast advises rainfall and thunderstorms throughout Germany, with the south expecting continuous downpours. Despite these weather warnings, Leyser mentioned that a prolonged period of summer-like, dry weather is not forecasted for the near future.
