Prince William - He sells another street newspaper

As in the summer of 2022, Prince William (41) is now drawing attention to the British street newspaper "The Big Issue" shortly before Christmas. In a branch of a supermarket chain in London's Hammersmith district, he met an old acquaintance and surprisingly sold the latest issue. In doing so, the Prince supported the sales clerks "at the most important time of the year", as "The Big Issue" explains.

Prince William was worried

Once again, Prince William donned a typical red vest and cap, identifying homeless people as sales clerks. He met with Dave Martin in Hammersmith, whom he had already met in June 2022 during the first similar campaign.

"It was great to see Prince William again," explains Martin. "It was surreal, but he was so friendly. He was concerned about me and the homeless people." They have been in contact since the summer of 2022, the report continues. Last year and also this Tuesday, the seller and the royal exchanged Christmas cards.

Vendors have major problems in 2023

Martin thanks his customers for their support, some of whom he has known for twelve years. However, he also points out that some of his colleagues are having major problems selling their items this year - possibly due to the weather or the increased cost of living, he suspects.

The British royals are also drawing attention to "The Big Issue" on Instagram. On the account of William and his wife, Princess Kate (41), they published a picture showing William next to Martin - wearing a cap, vest and holding a street newspaper.

William is increasingly involved in the fight against homelessness. His first public appearance after his summer break in September was also dedicated to his "Homewards" initiative, which aims to bring together local businesses, organizations and helpers to support people affected by homelessness.
