Jan Malte Andresen (51) is moving to RTL. From January 8, he will be the new presenter of the RTL early morning shows "Punkt 6", "Punkt 7" and "Punkt 8". The Cologne-based broadcaster made the announcement on Monday.

RTL is looking forward to the new presenter

"We are delighted that Jan Malte Andresen, an equally experienced, versatile and extremely likeable presenter, will be joining RTL's early morning shows," explains Daniel Mundhenke, Editor-in-Chief Magazine at RTL News.

Andresen is also very excited about his new challenge: "I'm really looking forward to starting the day with RTL viewers." For him, "Punkt 6/7/8" combines "the best of radio - compact information, entertaining and useful - just with pictures! It's great that people can now look me in the tired eyes."

Presenter already has a lot of journalistic experience

Andresen has hosted the morning show on radio station WDR 2 since 2017. From 2016 to 2021, he also appeared on "tagesschau24" and in the morning edition of "ARD Tagesschau". He also hosts various podcasts, such as the FAZ news podcast "Frühdenker" and the Misereor podcast "Mit Menschen".
