Norman Reedus on love for Diane Kruger - He has no say at home
As experienced zombie hunter Daryl Dixon from "The Walking Dead" franchise, Norman Reedus (54) usually calls the shots in the undead apocalypse. However, this does not seem to be the case within his own four walls, as the actor jokingly revealed in an interview with the German newspaper "Bild". Because in his relationship with German Hollywood star Diane Kruger (47), he also finds himself facing an overpowering force, which, in contrast to the series, he is apparently unable to fend off so successfully.
"I'm surrounded by German women, so to speak. Diane, our daughter Nova and Diane's mother, Grandma. As the only man in the house, the only thing I can really do is always say yes," says the star, who was born in Hollywood, Florida. Reedus and Kruger have been together since 2016, and their daughter was born two years later.
In the interview, he also drew a comparison about what it's like to be the father of a daughter and a boy. Reedus has a 24-year-old son, Mingus, from a previous relationship with model Helena Christensen (54). "Boys are very, very different to girls." He was less worried about Mingus when he was his five-year-old daughter's age. "It's completely different with Nova. With her, I pay very close attention to what she does. [...] I don't even want her to fall down in the street. I'm always worried."
Plans for Christmas and New Year's Eve
The "Walking Dead" star also revealed the family's plans for the upcoming Christmas and New Year: "We're spending Christmas in New York and then going to our house in Costa Rica." According to Reedus, they will be "in the middle of the jungle and celebrate New Year's Eve there too. That's our tradition." So at least here there are parallels to his popular series character: Daryl is also known to prefer to spend his free time secluded in the forest.
