Simone Ballack (48) remembers her son Emilio on the third anniversary of his death on Instagram. He died in August 2021 at the age of 18 in a quad accident in Portugal. On Monday (5th August), his mother published a Reel in his memory, featuring many photos of Emilio at different ages. She wrote as a comment: "Photos of you... When all you have left are memories and photos of your child... Three years without you. I miss you more than words can express."

In an interview with the magazine "Gala" in April, Ballack spoke about coping with her grief. "I try to draw as much positivity as possible for myself and my family every day, always trying new things," explained the ex-wife of Michael Ballack (47). She has two other sons with him - Jordi (19) and Louis (22).
She added: "No way to stand still. It must keep moving forward." Setting herself new tasks is, in her opinion, "the best medicine against grief," said Ballack. It's also important, she explained, "not to let anyone dictate how to live."
