Anja Schuetter recently devoted her time to tending to her mother. As she nears the age of 60, she expresses a desire to get back to work with renewed vigor.

- He considers her to be quite intellectually lacking.

Anja Schütte, turning 60 on September 2nd, finds the anniversary "quite absurd" according to an interview with "Bild am Sonntag". The reason being, "Losing both parents, I'm now the elder in our family, making you ponder the transience of existence."

Her 60th birthday will be celebrated with her Norwegian spouse Petter, 67, and son Hendrik, 33, from her marriage to pop singer Roland Kaiser, 72, in Hamburg. Post that, they plan to jet off to Mallorca for some relaxation.

She Shied Away from Acting Roles

Anja Schütte was a renowned German actress, achieving stardom with her 1980 debut film "Tender Cousins" and numerous TV shows such as "The Wicherts from Next Door" and "Forsthaus Falkenau". However, recent years have seen her stepping away from the limelight, a decision born out of her commitment to care for her ailing mother, who battled cancer for 40 years. Her mother, Elke Schütte, passed away on April 3rd at 86. This loss left an indelible mark on her, but she held onto the hope of reuniting with her parents beyond death in her interview.

Her son is her source of strength. "He recently paid us a visit in Norway. Spending time with my family is non-negotiable for me, they come first," Anja Schütte mentioned in the interview. "In the past few years, I've dedicated myself entirely to my mother. I vowed not to abandon her alone." She wanted to stay by her side "till the end". Two years ago, she moved back into her parents' home. She expresses her gratitude towards her husband, a traveling businessman, for his unwavering support in this endeavor. "Without him, I couldn't have done it. I chose to stay away from acting roles for fear of being away from my mother for extended periods due to filming."

Learning Norwegian for Her Husband

Moving forward, she's reorganizing her life, concluding her mother's estate with her brother and planning new ventures for the future: "I wish to return to acting and prioritize my health." She plans to play more golf and travel. And she has one more objective: "I'll master Norwegian for my husband."

After celebrating her 60th birthday with her family, Anja Schütte plans to reflect on her journey, having dedicated several years to caring for her ailing mother. "Celebrating my birthday this year makes me think about the precious time I've spent with my loved ones," she mused during the interview.

Anja's passion for learning Norwegian to connect better with her husband remains undiminished. "Once we return from Mallorca, I'll resume my language classes to improve my Norwegian," she shared, eager to deepen her bond with her husband.
