Michelle and Barack Obama - Heads of State - Happy birthday greetings for her child.

For Natasha's, also known as Sasha's, 23rd birthday, her parents, former US President Barack Obama (62) and his wife Michelle (60), shared heartwarming messages and images of her on their Instagram accounts.

Obama's Memories and Encouragement

In a message, Barack Obama used a photo from the past to wish his youngest daughter a happy birthday. The image depicts him sitting on the grass with Sasha, who's still young at the time. He captioned the picture optimistically, "Happy birthday, Sasha! It was so much fun to see you turn into such an independent, mature person... and you're just getting started!"

Michelle's Heartfelt Declaration

Former First Lady Michelle Obama sent her own message to Sasha on this special day. Her caption read, "Happy birthday, Sasha! You make me so insanely proud!" She wished the birthday girl the best, saying, "I hope this year brings you everything you wish for and more. I love you." In contrast to her husband's older photo, Michelle posted a more recent one, where the two women are hugging each other and smiling.

Sasha is the youngest of Barack and Michelle Obama's two daughters. She was born on June 10, 2001, making her a sibling to older sister Malia (25), who was born on July 4, 1998. The Obama family has been together since their marriage in October 1992. They served as the United States' first family from 2009 to 2017. Their daughters Malia and Sasha were seven and ten years old when they took office, growing up in the White House in Washington, D.C. They attended the private Sidwell Friends School until their graduation from high school. Sasha graduated in 2019 and initially enrolled at the University of Michigan before transferring to the University of California to pursue psychology.
