Slash - Guns-N'-Roses legend mourns stepdaughter

Slash (58) mourns his stepdaughter. Lucy-Blue Knight passed away on July 19 in Los Angeles. The former Guns N' Roses guitarist announced this on his Instagram account. His partner Meegan Hodges' daughter was only 25 years old. The statement says nothing about the cause of death of the young woman, only that she "passed away peacefully."

"Lucy-Blue was an incredibly talented artist," it continues. Furthermore, she is described as a "passionate dreamer and charming, lovable, and delicate soul." As can be seen on her Instagram account, she was active as a painter and tattoo artist.

The family asks for privacy and requests that "speculations in social media be kept to a minimum" while they grieve.

Slash cancels tour dates

A few hours before he announced the news of his stepdaughter's death, Slash had announced via Instagram that he was cancelling tour dates due to unforeseen circumstances. "Due to unforeseen circumstances," the rockstar had to cancel four dates of his S.E.R.P.E.N.T Tour through North America. The gigs were scheduled for July 22, 23, 24, and 26. Slash is scheduled to be back on stage in Toronto on July 28.

Lucy-Blue Knight's mother Meegan Hodges met Slash at the end of the 1980s, during the height of his career with Guns N' Roses. The couple reunited in 2015.

Slash shared the news of his stepdaughter's passing on his Instagram account, where Lucy-Blue was also active as a painter and tattoo artist, showcasing her artistic talents. The statement revealed that the 25-year-old had passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, the city where Slash and his partner Meegan Hodges, Lucy's mother, reside. Lucy's connection to Guns N' Roses was further established when it was mentioned that her mother met Slash during his successful run with the band in the late 1980s.
