Former TV presenter Gülcan Kamps likes home-cooked food at Christmas. She likes to cook classic dishes such as roast with red cabbage, dumplings and spaetzle at Christmas, the 41-year-old told the German Press Agency in Berlin. The motto: make it yourself. "Almost nothing should be bought ready-made", says Kamps. "Or you can have it delivered."

In addition to hearty festive dishes, homemade mulled wine and her own creations of roasted almonds are also very popular. "I always eat them while I'm cooking. And then I'm usually not hungry in the evening," said Kamps with a smile.

From 2003, the now 41-year-old was part of the team of presenters on the Cologne music channel Viva for many years. The channel went on air on December 1, 1993 - exactly 30 years ago. The TV station was discontinued at the end of 2018.
