Criminals evading capture - Guard with severe injuries passes away following confrontation at refugee center
A security officer at a refugee facility in Potsdam passed away on Thursday, following a vicious altercation, according to Theresia Jonitz, a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office. This information was previously reported by the Berliner Zeitung "B.Z."
"The culprit behind the incident is still at large," Jonitz noted. She didn't share any more details when asked. The authorities have intensified their efforts, with roadblocks surrounding the Geschwister-Scholl-Straße. A police operation in this area has been in effect since early Thursday morning.
