"Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey (58) and his wife Jillian Dempsey (58) celebrated a very special wedding anniversary on Wednesday (31st July) - they have been married for 25 years. On Instagram, the "Sexiest Man Alive" left an emotional love declaration for his partner on this occasion. Looking back at a wedding photo from 1999, Dempsey wrote: "25 years, it feels like just yesterday! I can't believe how fast time has passed."
"I'm grateful for everything you are"
He continued, addressing his wife: "Life wouldn't be the same without you, your vision, your kindness, your empathy, your love, your sexuality, your intelligence, your warmth, your friendship, your wisdom. The love of my life, I'm truly grateful for everything you do and who you are. You are an incredible mother, wife, friend, and partner, Jillian."
His wife shared the same photo on her Instagram channel and added a Polaroid snapshot of Patrick Dempsey on their first date. She wrote: "Happy 25th, baby! Cherishing vintage moments. I love you and our wonderful children," wrote the mother of three. She also expressed excitement that they've made it to a really big number on a Hallmark card. Hallmark Card is the largest manufacturer and distributor of greeting cards in the USA.
The actor met the trained hairstylist and makeup artist in the late 90s when he randomly stopped by her salon. "I knew immediately when I saw her for the first time that she was the one for me," he recently gushed in a conversation with "People" magazine. "I looked across the room and when I saw her, I was completely overwhelmed."
Two years later, they exchanged vows in 1999. Their three children together, 22-year-old Talula and 17-year-old twins Sullivan and Darby, made their love complete. After a brief marital crisis in 2015, the Dempseys are now inseparable.
In his heartfelt Instagram post, Patrick Dempsey expressed his continued love and admiration for his wife, stating, "I'm grateful for everything you are." Furthermore, on their silver anniversary, he declared, "You are an incredible mother, wife, friend, and partner, Jillian. I'm truly grateful for everything you do and who you are."
