Greece suggests creating a unified European air defense network.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Prime Minister of Greece, has suggested creating a unified European air defense system. In an interview on Athens TV station Skai, he mentioned this idea on Thursday and later announced he has shared it with his counterparts in the European Union. He envisions a European air defense network that safeguards all European nations against possible dangers. The system is intended to work like Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system and would rely on EU financial tools for air defense initiatives.

The European Union is considering Greece's proposal to establish a unified air defense system, which would serve as a collective air defense for all European nations. To effectively implement this, Europe might need to invest in furnishings and infrastructure similar to Israel's Iron Dome air defense system.
