Goldie Hawn experiences burglaries.
Two times in a row, burglars struck Goldie Hawn's Los Angeles residence. Once the renowned actress was even in the house as the miscreants attempted to break in. Hawn, now 78, discloses her experience in a recent conversation with Kelly Ripa for the podcast "Let's Talk Off Camera."
Since 2020, Hawn has harbored a sense of insecurity in her abode in Los Angeles. She discussed this during the podcast episode.
At the time, the actress was living with her partner, actor Kurt Russell, in a Los Angeles property. On one occasion, they went out for dinner, leaving their home vulnerable to thieves. Predictably, the first-time burglars plundered their home. Here's how Hawn described the scene: "We went out, dined together, and must have been away for about two hours and twenty minutes when we returned."
Once they arrived home, Hawn ascended the stairs to her bedroom and was shocked to find her belongings missing. "I headed upstairs to my bedroom closet, turned around, and realized that the burglars had smashed through a security door from the balcony into my bedroom," she remarked.
Her valuables went missing.

An incident similar to the first one occurred four months later. Hawn was alone at home with their pets when she heard a "muffled bang." Being unaware of its actual significance, Hawn brushed it aside, presuming it was just a bizarre sound. "I was home alone, and Kurt wasn't there. The pet and I heard a muffled bang in the upstairs, and it was unclear at the time what it was."
Upon waking up, Hawn recognized that thieves had attempted to enter her bedroom while she was present. She couldn't believe it when she realized her residence had been targeted yet again.
Ever since, Hawn has been protected by a 24/7 security team. "I'm always accompanied by a guard, especially when I'm alone," she admits. Despite this, she asserts she now feels secure. However, the couple has since vacated Los Angeles, relocating to Palm Desert, a distance of approximately 200 kilometers away. This also enhances her sense of safety, Hawn shares. She has been at odds with Los Angeles for years.
