Winfried Glatzeder, a veteran of RTL-Jungelcamp, has not become a new person in it. Instead, he discovered horrifying aspects of himself, he says. Yet, he will be appearing again soon.

Actor Winfried Glatzeder ("The Legend of Paul and Paula") looks back at his adventures in RTL-Jungle Camp with a certain disappointment. "I had planned to make a mixture of a detox diet and the Camino de Santiago out of it. Unfortunately, the lost pounds are back again," said the 79-year-old in an interview with Superillu.

Glatzeder participated in the eighth season of "Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!" in 2014. "And I didn't find myself, instead I discovered even more unpleasant aspects of myself."

For the 20th anniversary show, the actor will appear alongside a dozen other former Jungle Camp stars - including Daniela Büchner and Sarah Knappik - starting August 16. RTL announced new rules for the special. A prize money of 100,000 Euro is at stake.
