Daughter emulates Joachim Llambi
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, not even in the Llambi household. So it's likely that "Let's Dance" icon Joachim Llambi won't be able to hog the spotlight all to himself for much longer. His daughter Helena is also making her way into the public eye.
Helena Llambi is making strides towards following in her father's footsteps professionally. While a professional dance career, like Joachim Llambi's, is not in the cards for the 19-year-old, she has no objections to a media career, as her 59-year-old father has pursued since his debut in the "Let's Dance" jury in 2006. She aspires to become a moderator in the sports field, Helena Llambi revealed in an RTL interview.
Helena Llambi took her first steps onto the stage alongside her prominent father, who is a frequent guest in other TV shows and occasionally hosts them himself. The two have already co-hosted several dance events together, most recently "Alea tanzt" in Bad Orb in front of over 2000 people.
Old master Joachim Llambi supports his daughter's foray into the public eye, but he valued her privacy all the more when she was still a minor. He didn't allow her to have a public Instagram account, he explained. "We kept her a little reined in (...) There's no chance for her after she turns 18, then she can do as she pleases," he said. Over the years, his daughter has learned to handle the media well.
Helena Llambi is the daughter of Joachim Llambi and his second wife Ilona. The couple married in 2005. Ilona brought a 1999-born daughter from a previous relationship into the marriage. When Helena Llambi isn't performing on stage with her father, she studies media and communication in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
