It's nothing new that a stay in the "summer house" is a relationship killer for many couples. But the fact that these two, of all people, have now been caught out is a little surprising: Gigi Birofio and Dana Feist have split up. She is said to have dumped him.
The next couple from this year's RTL show "Das Sommerhaus der Stars" is history. Reality TV actors Luigi "Gigi" Birofio and Dana Feist have broken up. Feist's management confirmed this to RTL. According to them, the break-up was her decision. The reason was a lack of trust, they simply said. No further details were initially given.
There had been speculation about a possible break-up for some time. The reason: the two had unfollowed each other on social networks. They also stopped uploading pictures together some time ago. Instead, Feist deleted all the old couple photos on her Instagram profile.
The 24-year-old industrial electrician and the two-year-old soldier became famous independently of each other through various reality TV formats. Birofio took part in the RTL show "Ex on the Beach" and the RTL+ format "Temptation Island VIP", for example. Feist, on the other hand, was seen on "Love Island" on RTLZwei and "Are You The One?" on RTL+.
Expulsion from the "summer house"
Birofio also moved into the RTL jungle camp in January 2023. He had met Feist shortly beforehand. During his participation in "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!", he often mused about his "pearl".
In the "Summer House of Stars", the two made their first appearance as a couple in a show - and compared to many of their fellow contestants, they presented themselves quite harmoniously. Nevertheless, their stay was short-lived. After an argument with rival couple Can Kaplan and Valentina Doronina, in which Birofio became violent, they were banned from the show. It is not known whether the incident also played a role in the current break-up.
Maurice Dziwak and Ricarda Raatz are also separated
Birofio and Feist were not invited to the "Sommerhaus" reunion show, which was broadcast by RTL last week. Maurice Dziwak and Ricarda Raatz, who are also known as reality TV actors and whose relationship did not survive the "Sommerhaus" outing, sat on different sofas. The two broke up immediately after the recording. Dziwak cited his partner's lack of motivation in the format's games as one reason.
In recent years, the "'summer house' curse" has become a household name. Time and again, couples have gone their separate ways shortly after taking part in the format.
