German officials prepare for three-day visit of French President Macron.
French President Emmanuel Macron is about to embark on a three-day trip to Germany this weekend. On Saturday, Steinmeier, the German President, will welcome Macron at the Democracy Festival in Berlin, marking the 75th anniversary celebration of the German constitution. Furthermore, they'll kick off the Franco-German sports summer, a period featuring the European Football Championship and the Olympic Games. A joint press conference is to take place around 5:00 PM.
On Monday, Macron will address European youth in Dresden and encourage them to participate in the forthcoming European elections. Later, he'll proceed to Munster where he will receive the Westphalian Peace Prize. The state visit will conclude on Tuesday through a meeting with the French-German government at Meseberg.
