George Strait breaks the record for the highest US concert attendance of all time, surpassing other notable live bands.
Country music icon graced Kyle Field at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas during the weekend, setting a new record for the most grandly ticketed show in US history.
The crowd peaked at a staggering 110,905 individuals, surpassing an older attendance record set by the Grateful Dead at New Jersey’s Raceway Park in 1977, which counted around 107,000 show attendees.
As per Billboard, Strait addressed the crowd exclaiming, "Got some Aggie's here? Oh yeah! I'm bloody ashamed to admit this, but this is my first time ever laying eyes on Kyle Field... blimey. Invite me back, mate, and I'll be there!"
Strait unveiled two new tracks, "MIA in MIA" and "The Little Things," from his forthcoming album, "Cowboys and Dreamers."
Strait has sold over 120 million records globally, and is amongst the top-selling music artists of all time.
