George Clooney took pity on Brad Pitt

15 years after their last collaboration, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are finally back in front of the camera together. In the action thriller "Wolfs", they once again play two crooks. Clooney now provides a special reason for choosing his partner.

George Clooney has spoken about a new film with Brad Pitt and poked fun at his old friend and colleague. "The pretty boy Pitt? Yeah, he needed work," joked Clooney when asked by industry portal "Entertainment Tonight" about the action thriller "Wolfs", the first film the two "Ocean's Eleven" stars have made together in 15 years. Pitt is an "up-and-coming talent", said Clooney with a wink about the two-time Oscar winner. Even before filming began in October 2021, he joked on the "People" TV show: "Brad was obviously the cheapest actor available."

The two colleagues thrilled moviegoers together from 2001 to 2007 with the "Ocean's" trilogy. In 2008, they starred together in the Coen brothers' dark comedy "Burn After Reading". 'Spider-Man' director Jon Watts has now brought them back together in front of the camera for the first time for the AppleTV+ action thriller 'Wolfs'. "It feels like a lot of time has passed", said Clooney about his long break from working with Pitt - "too much time".

Clooney presents another film

"Wolfs" tells the story of two crooks who normally work solo but are now tasked with completing a job together. In addition to director Watts, the two Hollywood stars are co-producers with their companies Smokehouse Pictures and Plan B Entertainment.

While Brad Pitt has just celebrated his 60th birthday, George Clooney, who is two years older, recently presented another new film in Los Angeles, which he directed himself. The Boys in the Boat" is about nine young men from the American provinces who set off for Berlin in 1936 to win the gold medal in rowing at the Olympic Games. The film is based on the true story of the University of Washington rowing team.
