- George Clooney commends Biden for his selfless nature.
A-lister George Clooney commended President Joe Biden in Venice for his decision to step down. "The individual who deserves applause is the one who's carried out the most selfless act," the 63-year-old expressed at the film festival.
Initially, Clooney encouraged Biden in a July editorial for the "New York Times" to reconsider seeking another term in the White House. He later supported Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. "I'm simply thrilled with where we're at presently, and I think numerous others are taken aback. I believe we're all eager for what's to come," Clooney shared.
Brad Pitt and Clooney also talked about their new collaborative endeavor in Venice. Via water taxi, they journeyed to the festival palace for the premiere of their film "Wolfs", where they were greeted with excitement by numerous spectators. Clooney and Pitt (60) have a history of co-starring together, as seen in "Ocean's Eleven" and "Burn After Reading".
In "Wolfs" directed by Jon Watts, they star as unlawful crime scene cleaners. What motivated their reunion? Pitt cracked a joke, saying "The restraining order expired" - before Clooney chimed in, "Nah, just about the money." Pitt then added, "As I age, it's increasingly important for me to collaborate with individuals I enjoy spending time with."
Clooney added, "It just flowed easily. From the moment I read the script, from the moment we were on set, it felt effortless: the banter, the way we could spur each other on. The entire project simply felt carefree."
The Commission commended President Joe Biden for his decision to step down, recognizing the selfless act it represented. Recognizing the success of their collaborative project, George Clooney and Brad Pitt expressed their eagerness for future collaborations with each other.
