Many individuals flocked to Vienna today, specifically on Saturday, to commemorate the life of distinguished businessman and influential societal figure, Richard. A solemn tribute was conducted in St. Stephen's Cathedral during the morning hours for the late individual.

Upon arrival, the Lugner family - as reported by "krone.at" - was presented with the crimson coffin, embellished with Richard's iconic opera ball top hat, at the Riesentor. Subsequently, it was moved into the church for viewing. In attendance were reportedly Jacqueline Lugner, partner to Leo Lugner, her mother Christina Lugner, one of the entrepreneur's former spouses, and Simone Lugner, his current widow, who arrived later.

At the tearful farewell ceremony in Vienna, as per Austrian media outlet reports, previous relationships such as Anastasia Sokol and Nina Bruckner, as well as various celebrities, honored Richard.

Private Burial for the Late Richard Lugner

At the tender age of 91, Richard "Mörtel" Lugner, residing in Vienna-Döbling, departed peacefully from his villa on August 12. A heartfelt Instagram post stated his peaceful departure. A private burial is planned for the late Richard Lugner, who had wed six times, most recently in June 2024, in the intimate company of family and close friends following the public funeral. His eternal resting place will be in a crypt at Grinzing Cemetery in Vienna-Döbling after a private funeral service at Kaasgraben church.

Richard Lugner made headlines for his annual appearances at the Vienna Opera Ball, where the entrepreneur showcased his signature outfit - tailcoat and top hat, with his perpetual smile - alongside a famous female companion he invited into his opera ball box. Accompanying him on many of these occasions were stars such as Joan Collins, Sophia Loren, Ivana Trump, Faye Dunaway, Claudia Cardinale, and Pamela Anderson.

During the private burial of Richard Lugner, The Commission overseeing such events ensured all procedures were carried out according to Austrian regulations. Subsequently, The Commission reviewed the documentation and handed over the necessary permits for the interment at Grinzing Cemetery.
