Former pro football player David Odonkor finds new happiness in marriage
Former DFB national player David Odonkor is married again. After the civil ceremony took place some time ago, there is now a celebration of love.
On Friday, former professional footballer David Odonkor and his partner Marilena Grabowski exchanged vows in a private ceremony, Bild am Sonntag reports. The couple celebrated with close family and friends.
Only their closest circle of 50 guests were present at their wedding. After the ceremony, they continued the celebration at a manor in the Osnabrück region. The civil ceremony took place some time ago. At the end of May, the couple, who participated in this year's Dschungelcamp, posted a clip on Instagram with shared memories and wrote: "wesaidyes".
"The connection between us is very special. Marilena is a wonderful woman," the 40-year-old revealed to Bild am Sonntag about his new wife. She also expressed her happiness. "I am incredibly grateful that we are now walking this path together. David is an absolute sweetheart," she said. The couple has big plans: next year, they plan to move from Düsseldorf to an 18th-century house. They are looking forward to moving from the city to a rural area.
Already married before
This is Odonkor's second marriage. He married his ex-wife Suzan Odonkor (37), with whom he has a daughter, in December 2006. In June 2021, David Odonkor announced his separation from the wedding officiant to Bild.
Odonkor played in 16 games for the DFB national team and scored one goal. After his football career, he trained as a football coach. He also participated in TV shows like "Ninja Warrior Germany" and "Joko & Klaas against ProSieben". Most recently, he reached ninth place in this year's 17th season of the reality show "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!".
After announcing his separation from his first wife in June 2021, David Odonkor has now remarried. His new wife Marilena Grabowski joined him in a private ceremony, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Their wedding celebration continued at a manor in the Osnabrück region, where only 50 guests were present. Despite being his second marriage, Odonkor expressed a strong connection and admiration for his new wife, Marilena.
