The country Switzerland - Former Hells Angels member gets lengthy imprisonment.
A former Hells Angels member, aged 36, originating from Basel, Switzerland, has been handed a sentencing of 12 years and 10 months for offenses including rape, sexual misconduct with minors, and money laundering. As per the judge at the criminal court, this sentence is not binding legally yet.
The court found the allegations credible and while delivering the verdict, the judge pointed out the man's lavish lifestyle presented on social media. "Your criminal activities were the reason for your extravagant lifestyle. Without them, you wouldn't have been able to afford it," the judge quoted by the tabloid "Blick" added. Multiple high-profile encounters were mentioned during the trial. The individual, who held high ranks within the club both in Germany and Turkey, had been banned from the country for fourteen years prior to this.
Convicted on various accounts, such as rape, forgery, bribery, and money laundering, the man was also alleged to have coerced a 14-year-old into sexual acts and subsequently threatened the victim to remain silent. He had been charged multiple times in the past but was not convicted of the widely publicized securities fraud of 3.6 million euros in Germany, as the Swiss court lacked jurisdiction over this incident.
