The 2.0-liter self-igniting engine was offered in power outputs of 88 kW/120 PS, 110 kW/150 PS, and 132 kW/180 PS (140 kW/190 PS since 2018) and consumes between 5 and 6.3 liters on average, depending on the drive variant (front or all-wheel) and transmission (manual six-speed gearbox, six-speed DSG, or eight-speed automatic). The Bi-Turbo with 154 kW/210 PS (240 PS since 2018) was discontinued in the fall of 2021, along with the 190 PS self-igniting engine. Since then, the S-Max has only been available in a full hybrid variant with a system output of 190 PS.
Features and Safety
The S-Max's comfort offerings were impressive. The base Trend model boasts a decent list of features, while the Titanium, ST-Line, and Vignale versions come packed with standard luxury amenities. Features such as leather, LED headlights, smartphone integration, navigation system, panoramic glass roof, 19-inch alloy wheels, and more transform the van into a comfortable and stylish vehicle. Numerous assistants were included in the standard equipment or were optionally available.
No longer just a functional vehicle, the S-Max is a stylish and, depending on engine choice, sporty option.
