Silicon Valley - For Elon Musk, the fight with Mark Zuckerberg is not over yet
Fact is: A clash between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg would be welcomed by many. Not a few would claim that whoever gets the upper hand, it wouldn't be the wrong one. Therefore, the anticipation was palpable last summer when a feud between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg seemed imminent. But from Musk's challenge to Zuckerberg to accept, nothing came to fruition.
After months of mutual provocation, it suddenly went quiet about the much-promised event. It must have been Musk's doing. According to Zuckerberg, he himself had made a date proposal, but his opponent kept evading. One thing here, other commitments there – it never seemed to fit.
However, the idea – or desire – to measure up against Mark Zuckerberg still seems to be alive in Musk. Shortly after a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before the US Congress, where Musk was in the audience, he was asked about the pending fight.
Elon Musk wants the fight – wherever, whenever, however
In the short video that was posted on X, formerly Twitter, one can only make out the questioner's muffled voice – only "Fight Zuckerberg?" can be understood clearly. Musk's response, for which he turned around again, is clear: "I will fight Zuckerberg, wherever, whenever, however." He laughs.
Whether or not there will still be a showdown of the billionaires remains to be seen. Firstly, the first announcements of the fight sounded similar, and secondly, Musk must be aware that he can only lose against the extremely athletic Zuckerberg – all the more so if it's about a brawl without rules, as Musk now emphasized.
Despite the absence of a direct face-off between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg last summer, Musk's desire to compete against the Facebook CEO remains evident. During a recent event, when asked about a potential fight, Musk responded, "I will fight Zuckerberg, wherever, whenever, however."
This statement, made in a short video posted on X, formerly Twitter, suggests that Musk is still eager to engage in a contest with Zuckerberg, regardless of the location or the rules involved.
