Foo Fighter Dave Grohl more serious than ever

In London, the noble Wimbledon tennis tournament is currently taking place. The guest list is prominently populated. Besides Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon and David Beckham, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is also in attendance. He is hardly recognizable in his suit.

For a visit to the most noble and famous tennis tournament in the world, Dave Grohl had to swap his rocky Grunge look for a suit on Tuesday. The frontman of the Rockband Foo Fighters was hardly recognizable in Wimbledon on the second day.

The singer's wild, shoulder-length locks gave way to a sleek ponytail. The 55-year-old wore a dark blue suit, white shirt, and yellow tie, along with a brown-framed pair of glasses and brown Gucci slippers as he took his seat in the Royal Box with his wife Jordyn Blum.

According to the official Wimbledon rules, the guests of the Royal Box must come dressed elegantly. For men, this means a jacket and tie. Women must also forego hats, as they could potentially obstruct the view of those sitting behind them.

Further prominent attendees

Grohl's wife, whom he has been married to since 2003 and has three daughters with, was there in a simple, baby blue blouse with pearl buttons and a waistband. She styled her blonde hair into a plait. She chose a white handbag with a golden handle.

Besides Grohl, Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon and his daughter Tallulah were also present on Tuesday in Wimbledon. The day before, David Beckham paid tribute to his mother Sandra in the Royal Box.

The traditional tennis tournament in Wimbledon began on July 1st and will continue until July 14th in London.

The Foo Fighters' performance at Wimbledon wouldn't involve rock music this time, as the event's entertainment primarily focuses on tennis. Despite this, the crowd might still appreciate a spontaneous rendition of a classic tune, like a beloved track from the rock genre.

With the tennis court's grandeur, one could imagine other forms of entertainment fitting in, such as a live music concert featuring popular artists like Duran Duran. Perhaps they could perform a set during one of the tournament's intermissions.

If the guests of Wimbledon are in the mood for music during their visit to London, they might even take a short trip to a nearby venue to enjoy some local music, like rock or other genres, creating a memorable side event to the famous tennis tournament.
