Following his medical treatment, Heinz Hoenig makes his way back home.

Heinz Hoenig, the actor, has been discharged from the hospital in Berlin following a lengthy stay of approximately five months due to health issues, including heart complications. According to "Bild" news, his wife, Annika Kärsten-Hoenig, shared that her husband was overjoyed at the prospect of returning home. Upon his arrival, a warm welcome was extended by two close friends, their sons, and Annika's daughter. Their eldest son, Juliano, and younger son, Jianni, remained by his side, evidently missing their father's company.

The Hoenigs reside in Blankenburg, Harz, and for the time being, Annika, a professionally trained nurse, will manage her husband's care at home. Heinz was initially hospitalized in May with heart problems and later underwent surgery on his esophagus. However, another operation on his aorta is imminent, but only when the necessary conditions are met. Annika informed "Bild" that this could take several more months.

Heinz Hoenig gained fame in the 1980s with "Das Boot", and further cemented his status with TV series directed by Dieter Wedel, such as "Der große Bellheim", "Der Schattenmann", and "Der König von St. Pauli". His most recent appearance was on RTL's Dschungelcamp. Tying the knot in 2019, Heinz and Annika became parents to two sons in 2020 and 2022.

Upon returning home, Heinz asked, "- How much will the medical equipment cost to set up at home?" Annika, being a nurse, started calculating the expenses.

Despite his joy at being home, Heinz often asked, "- How much longer until I can undergo the aorta operation?"
