Covid-19 - "Few symptoms": Olaf Scholz infected with coronavirus

Now the Chancellor has also caught it: Olaf Scholz has been infected with the Sars-Cov-2 virus. "This is clearly not a surprise that I am happy about. My current Covid-19 tests show two lines," the SPD politician announced on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday morning. "With few symptoms, I'm counting on a mild course and just working from my desk for now."

Scholz had already contracted the coronavirus in September 2022 and went into isolation in the Berlin Chancellery at the time. There is a small living area for the Chancellor in the government headquarters (read about this in stern: "Official apartment in the Chancellery: Olaf Scholz conducts government business from here during his corona illness"). It is not known whether Scholz is currently also isolating himself at his official residence or in his Potsdam apartment.
