Felix Klein strongly condemns ESC demonstrations.

This year's Eurovision Song Contest has been make way for some heavy political undertones, mostly due to Israel's participation and protests at the event location in Malmö. Germany's Anti-Semitism Commissioner, Felix Klein, expressed his discontent towards the anti-Israeli demonstrations "in no uncertain terms". Klein noted that it's a widespread anti-Semitic behavior to hold Israelis accountable for their government or army's actions, despite their own protests against it. "The Israeli art scene has suffered tremendously because of this," he said to Funke Mediengruppe.

Klein also remarked on the sad but unsurprising fact that environmental activist Greta Thunberg participated in the anti-Israel protests. "She should understand, just like the protesters in our country, that she's targeting the wrong place," he stated. On Saturday night, police apprehended Thunberg, along with many other protesters, after thousands had gathered in Malmö to oppose Israel's participation in the contest amidst the war in Gaza.

Israel restarted the Gaza War after facing multiple atrocities and massacres by Palestinian terrorists on October 7, which claimed over a thousand lives. From that point on, the Netanyahu government's military action against Hamas in Gaza has faced a lot of backlash from abroad. The dense populating confines of Gaza have already resulted in several civilian casualties. The deteriorating humanitarian situation in the area could potentially lead to more fatalities.

Israeli singer, Eden Golan, who is only 20 years old, managed to secure the 5th place in the Eurovision event with her song "Hurricane", notwithstanding the booing and jeering she faced during her performance. This came as a result of strong audience votes. She is, herself, only 20 years old.

The Gaza War was initiated as a response to the atrocities committed by Palestinian terrorists. Despite fierce international criticism, Israel's government continues to face ramifications for its military action against Hamas in the heavily-populated Gaza Strip. The current situation remains either life-threatening or critically unstable for the people living there.
